Focus Lock is an application for all the distracted and procrastinating people. It’s very simple. You start by selecting the apps you want to block and set a timer for when they will unlock. It could be a great solution to become distraction free from all the social networks and apps.

Why is it cool?
We live in a world where smartphones, computers, ipads etc. are our most valuable asset. This causes people to not be able to communicate directly with the people around them. It also creates a world where we never leave the house without our smartphones. For Example, when you’re waiting for the train, literally everyone is looking on their phones. So, since we’re always online we can’t really focus on something else, like your assignments for school or projects for work you have to prepare.

I think it would be great if we could just disconnect ourselves from the online world and focus on the real world. We are the generation of the FOMO (fear of missing out) syndrome, communication with a thousand friends while you’re actually all by yourself. We are Alone Together.

‘Look Up’ is a lesson taught to us through a love story, in a world where we continue to find ways to make it easier for us to connect with one another, but always results in us spending more time alone. I don’t want you to stop using social media or smartphones.
It’s about finding a balance. It’s about making sure you are awake, alive and living life in the moment; instead of living your life through a screen (Gary Turk, 2014).
